owenmag75.jpg (3472 bytes) Rob Owen is TV Editor for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, which means he gets paid to watch TV. Not a bad gig, huh? Don't worry, he's paid his dues. Previously he worked as TV/Radio writer at the Albany, NY, Times Union and as a features writer at the Times-Dispatch in Richmond, Va.

While at the Times-Dispatch, Owen helped create "inSync," a section for teen readers. Owen wrote the book "Gen X TV: The Brady Bunch to Melrose Place," which was published in hardcover by Syracuse Univeristy Press in February 1997. The paperback edition was published in March 1999.

Owen's work has also appeared in NetGuide magazine, he is a member of the Television Critics Association and a native of Vienna, Va. (last stop on D.C.'s Metro subway Orange line in the heart of Fairfax County). He is a 1993 graduate of Syracuse University.

Rob's email is rowen@post-gazette.com.
