![]() Comedians launch new radio show
Wednesday, December 10, 2003 By Adrian McCoy, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
Talk station WURP-AM (1550)/The Edge has added an hour of local talk to its syndicated talk lineup.
"What's Your Beef?" is hosted by Jeff Schneider, owner of the Funny Bone comedy club.
This is a show for listeners looking for a break from serious political news/talk radio. The humor is irreverent and topical. Schneider frequently brings in co-host/guest comedians who are playing at the Funny Bone. The dialogue has the feel of comedy club monologues, and can be politically incorrect. They take calls from listeners on local issues, again with a humorous spin.
"What's Your Beef?" airs weekdays from 2 to 3 p.m.
The rest of the WURP schedule includes syndicated Don Imus (6 to 10 a.m.), G. Gordon Liddy (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.), Don and Mike (3 to 7 p.m.) and Tom Leykis (7 p.m. to midnight).
The station also has a local jazz program -- "David Jaye's Jazzin' Around" -- which airs Sundays from 10 a.m. to noon.
