TAXING TIMES: Calendar for property valuation notices

On Friday, Sabre Systems and Service began mailing notices of preliminary market valuations to Allegheny County property owners. Those who live in Region 1 on the map will receive notices first, followed by Regions 2, 3, 4 and 5. The last mailing is scheduled for Nov. 13 for residential properties and Nov. 27 for commercial properties.
Property owners who disagree with the valuation placed on their property can contact Sabre to schedule an informal hearing at offices Allegheny County will establish in each region. Hearings on commercial property will be held at Sabre's offices at 400 N. Lexington St. in Point Breeze.

If you don't receive your notice during the dates listed here, it may have ended up at your mortgage company. Call your mortgage company to check, then try Sabre.
