Inbound Route 28 will close overnight and traffic will be detoured via the 40th Street Bridge starting at 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.

Traffic on the 40th Street Bridge will not be able to access inbound Route 28; access to outbound Route 28 and Millvale will remain open. Outbound stoppages of up to 15 minutes are possible in the work zone. Crews will begin demolition of buildings on the former Allegheny Auto Body property. The road will reopen by 5 a.m. daily.
