Pittsburgh Public Schools will start classes for most students on Monday, Aug. 26 and end classes on Monday, June 9.

The school board tonight (Wednesday) approved the calendar for 2013-14.

Ninth-graders will start on Friday, Aug. 23 for a half-day program of Ninth Grade Nation. Kindergartners will start on Thursday, Aug. 29.

The Aug. 26 start date applies to early childhood, grades 1-8 and 10-12.

The calendar includes a spring break the week of April 14. It has 182 student days.
