Butcher shop worker killed in Butler County

Friday, October 24, 2003

A butcher shop worker was killed yesterday when a deer hunter ran over him as he backed up his vehicle near the Summit facility.

State police said Ronald Krupa, 65, whose address was not available last night, apparently accelerated too quickly as he backed his 1998 Subaru Forester adjacent to Rome's Meat Processing shop on Bonniebrook Road at 11:30 a.m. yesterday.

The 39-year-old male employee was standing behind Krupa's truck preparing to unload the deer carcass from Krupa's vehicle when he was hit. The victim's name has not been released pending notification of family.
