The Rev. Terry O'Connor blesses the Angel of Steadfast Love statue placed in memory of his father, the late Pittsburgh mayor Bob O'Connor, outside St. Rosalia School in Greenfield yesterday. Created by Jennerstown artist Lei Hennessy-Owen, the 8-foot, 150-pound statue is made of steel, copper and stainless steel. It features an angel standing on a hill of copper shamrocks with a Celtic cross. Ms. Hennessy-Owen's metal angel sculptures, exhibited all over the country, honor such figures as former prisoner of war Pvt. Jessica Lynch, former NFL star and Army Ranger Pat Tillman, who was killed in Afghanistan, and victims of the World Trade Center attack. Mr. O'Connor was a member of St. Rosalia Parish.
