David Franz of Prosperity, PA, carries an aluminum canoe to the foggy Middle Youghiogheny west of Confluence Monday morning. He was among 55 people who participated in Monday's leg of the Youghiogheny River Sojourn. They paddled from Confluence to Ohiopyle State Park.
