Amber, Jenna make 'Survivor All-Stars'

Tuesday, January 13, 2004

staff and wire reports

The five little words you don't want to hear: "Amber, please meet Susan Hawk." Or what about "Jenna, this is Richard Hatch."

Pittsburgh-area residents Amber Brkich and Jenna Morasca are among the 18 castaways who will compete on "Survivor: All-Stars," premiering Feb. 1 after the Super Bowl. CBS yesterday announced the players, who will be broken into tribes with the colors red, yellow and green. The local women are not on the same team.

South Fayette's Morasca received $1 million in May for winning "Survivor" in the Amazon jungle. Brkich, from Brighton in Beaver County, was one of the final six players in the Australian Outback version televised in spring 2001.

The contestants are:

Richard Hatch, winner of the original "Survivor: Pulau Tiga," along with Rudy Boesch, Sue Hawk and Jenna Lewis.

Tina Wesson, winner of "Survivor: The Australian Outback," as well as her runner-up, Colby Donaldson, and Amber Brkich, Jerri Manthey and Alicia Calaway.

Ethan Zohn, winner of "Survivor: Africa," plus Lex van den Berghe and Tom Buchanan.

From "Survivor: Marquesas," Kathy Vavrick-O'Brien and Rob Mariano.

From "Survivor: Thailand," Shii Ann Huang.

Jenna Morasca, $1 million winner of "Survivor: The Amazon," and Rob Cesternino.

Rupert Boneham from "Survivor: Pearl Islands."

The three tribes will be:

Chapera Tribe: Alicia Calaway, Amber Brkich, Rob Cesternino, Rob Mariano, Susan Hawk and Tom Buchanan.

Saboga Tribe: Ethan Zohn, Jenna Lewis, Jerri Manthey, Rudy Boesch, Rupert Boneham and Tina Wesson.

Mogo Mogo Tribe: Colby Donaldson, Jenna Morasca, Kathy Vavrick-O'Brien, Lex van den Berghe, Richard Hatch and Shii Ann Huang.

"Survivor: All-Stars" will represent another return: to the Pearl Islands off Panama, where the most recent show was set.
