WPGB all-talk schedule shapes up

Thursday, December 11, 2003

By Adrian McCoy, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

The new all-talk format coming to WJJJ-FM (104.7) Jan. 5 is taking shape. The lineup will include a group of heavy-hitters in syndicated talk radio: Glenn Beck (midday); Neal Boortz from noon to 3 p.m.; Sean Hannity from 3 to 6 p.m.; and Michael Savage from 8 to 11 p.m. Last week, it was announced that WRRK-FM morning host Jim Quinn would host the morning drive show.

The station will get new call letters -- WPGB-FM.

There are still a few gaps in the schedule to be finalized, said Clear Channel regional vice president John Rohm. There will be a local host or hosts in the 6 to 8 p.m. slot, and the station is still looking at candidates for overnights.
