Latest WQEX wrinkle

At yesterday's board meeting of WQED Multimedia, a new possibility emerged in the ongoing effort to sell sister station WQEX.

WQED president George Miles has long talked about selling WQEX, and more recently talk turned to the possibility of not selling it, but leasing the station. The latest: Selling a stake in it.

"Maybe we'll sell a piece of it and maintain an ownership," Miles said after the board meeting. He said three potential suitors remain for WQEX.

During the board meeting, chairman Herbert Bennett Conner said there has been some forward momentum regarding the sale of WQEX, but it's "not a concrete enough situation to report on that."
