![]() TV Note: Ex-weathercaster Bowman back in town Monday, September 29, 2003 By Rob Owen, Post-Gazette TV Editor
Former WPXI weathercaster Dennis Bowman has left the TV station he was working at in Topeka, Kan., and is now living back in Pittsburgh.
He's out of the TV business and has founded Dennis Bowman Enterprises (Dbowmaninschools@aol.com). Bowman is working full-time as a public speaker, including weather education school assemblies. He said he may also try do some voiceover work and industrial films.
Bowman, who also is a ventriloquist, will be among the performing ensemble at "Off the Record III," 8 p.m. Thursday at the Byham Theater.
Bowman will play a TV news reporter in the send-up of Pittsburgh politics and newsmakers that benefits the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
