'Lucky' not so lucky

Daily Variety reports FX has opted not to renew its single-camera comedy "Lucky," starring John Corbett and Pittsburgh native Billy Gardell.

The show, about a gambler in Las Vegas, never drew enough viewers to be sustainable, especially compared to FX mainstay "The Shield."

Casting about

Actor Adrian Pasdar will join "Judging Amy" as a possible love interest for the title character. ... Sarah Thompson ("Boston Public") will join "Angel" for at least six episodes as Eve, a Wolfram & Hart employee.

Haddad hired at MSNBC

Pittsburgh native Tammy Haddad has been named executive in charge of "Buchanan and Press," the political chatfest that airs weekdays at 6 p.m. on MSNBC.

Haddad previously worked on "Maury Povich," NBC's "Today," Fox News Channel and "Larry King Live." She began her broadcasting career at KDKA-AM (1020).

'NightTalk' reaches 7

PCNC's "NightTalk with John McIntire" celebrates its seventh anniversary with a live on-air party at 9 p.m. Tuesday from the South Side's Club Cafe on Carson Street.

Among those expected to attend are county chief executive Jim Roddey, county controller Dan Onorato, former Mayor Sophie Masloff and the Pirate Parrot.
