By Adrian McCoy, Post-Gazette Staff Writer

WEDO-AM's (810) daily Italian radio show "Radio Italia" will go global this weekend. Host Sal Patitucci taped a one-hour show that will air on the Italian network RAI on Saturday. The broadcasts are carried by satellite and shortwave.

Patitucci will re-broadcast the show at 11 a.m. Sunday on WEDO.

"Radio Italia" airs from 5:05 to 6 p.m. weekdays and at 11 a.m. Sundays. The program features music, news and sports reports from Italy. It has been on the air since 1964 and is one of the area's longest-running ethnic radio programs.
