Jones leaving WPXI

Leaving, track 1 ...

Channel 11 weekend anchor Keith Jones will leave WPXI after May sweeps to become the 5, 6 and 11 p.m. anchor at WOWK, the CBS affiliate in Charleston-Huntington, W.Va.

"I'm going to miss him," said WPXI news director Pat Maday. "He's not just very, very good at what he does, but he's a great person."

Jones joined Channel 11 in the summer of 1999 after stints in Toledo, Ohio, and West Palm Beach, Fla. He could not be reached for comment.

Arriving, track 2 ...

Channel 11 has hired a new general assignment reporter. Kimberly Easton joins WPXI after working as a reporter and anchor at WZZM, the ABC affiliate in Grand Rapids, Mich. Before that she was weekend anchor at WSET, the ABC affiliate in Lynchburg, Va. She began her career as a news assistant at CNN.

Channel surfing

Disney Channel has renewed "That's So Raven" for a second season. ... Nick at Nite will air an animated series based on the Bill Cosby book "Fatherhood." David Alan Grier will provide voice to the show's lead character. ... The finale of "Survivor: The Amazon" will air 8 to 10 p.m. May 11, a Sunday, on CBS, followed by a live reunion show in New York City.
