KDKA hires anchor, reporter
It's local news and a love story, all wrapped up in one. Former KDKA-TV investigative reporter Marty Griffin and former WTAE-TV weekend morning anchor Kristine Sorensen will return to the air April 2. This time they'll share the same employer at KDKA, and beginning May 31, they'll share wedding rings. Griffin, an Emmy-winning reporter, will resume his previous investigative role at the station. Sorensen, winner of an Associated Press award, will sit in as weekend evening and late news co-anchor with Don Cannon, and will report from the field three days a week.

THE USUAL SUSPECT
Helen Mirren will reprise her Emmy Award-winning role as tough British police inspector Jane Tennison in "Prime Suspect 6" for PBS's "Masterpiece Theater."
"Prime Suspect" ran from 1992-97.
Filming is set to begin in London next month, with the miniseries expected to air in 2004. In "Prime Suspect 6," Tennison's determination to get justice for victims at all costs conflicts with the politics of her new high-ranking position as overseer of all murder investigations.
