Weather idol or model: None.

Were you a weather geek as a child? No.

How do you feel when you receive credit or blame for the weather? It goes with the territory.

Best weather call? Hopefully, all of them except ...

Biggest miss? July 4, 1979. Forecast partly cloudy and warm, then received more than one inch of rain.

Forecasting -- art or science? A combination of the two, but mainly a science. At times, it's an inexact science.

If it's a science, how accurate should viewers expect you to be? For 12 to 24 hours, 90 percent.

Ever have a vacation ruined by weather (and who did you blame)? Hilton Head, S.C., 1997. Governor issued a mandatory hurricane evacuation. I blamed the governor because it wasn't necessary.
