Revised ratings

Denzel Washington, Halle Berry and the makers of "A Beautiful Mind" may still be celebrating. But ABC isn't.

Final ratings show Sunday night's Academy Awards telecast drew the smallest crowd in history, according to Nielsen Media Research. Its 25.4 rating was worse than the last year's previous low, 26.2.

ABC estimated the telecast drew 41.8 million viewers, down from the 42.9 million people who watched in 2001.

Return to Degrassi

Fans of the '80s Canadian series "Degrassi Junior High" and "Degrassi High," which aired in America on PBS, have another opportunity to enroll.

Digital cable network Noggin will premiere the spin-off series "Degrassi: The Next Generation" at 9 p.m. Monday. The series begins as Emma, the 12-year-old daughter of Spike from the original "Degrassi High," begins seventh grade.
