Every Child director on TV
Susan Davis, executive director of East Liberty's Every Child Inc., was interviewed last week for tomorrow night's "Primetime Thursday" (9 p.m., ABC). The installment features an interview with gay adoptive parent Rosie O'Donnell and issues related to child welfare and adoption. Two local adoptive families were also interviewed, but it's unknown if they'll make the news magazine's final cut.

CMU prof on NPR
Carnegie Mellon University art professor Lowry Burgess will be featured on NPR's Morning Edition today, broadcast locally between 5 and 9 a.m. on WDUQ-FM (90.5). Burgess, who created an artwork in Afghanistan in 1974, will speak on the destruction of the Bamiyan Buddhas by the Taliban a year ago, and on the movement he's spearheading to protect threatened works of art that are part of the world's cultural heritage.
