TV/Radio Note: Letters to Patti

Friday, June 29, 2001

People wishing to send cards to former KDKA-TV anchor Patti Burns, who is battling cancer, should address them to Patti Burns, c/o Cohen & Grigsby, 11 Stanwix St., Pittsburgh, Pa. 15222.

A radio program celebrating the 75th anniversary of Route 66 -- one of America's longest and most famous highways -- airs this weekend on WDUQ-FM (90.5). The road's history and significance is the subject of PRI's "Route 66 Forever." It is hosted, fittingly enough, by Martin Milner, who starred in the '60s TV series of the same name. "Route 66 Forever" airs at 2 p.m. Sunday.

An annual Fourth of July radio tradition -- the Capitol Steps' satirical jab at U.S. politics -- will air at 2:30 and 7 p.m. Wednesday on WDUQ.
