Tv Notes: WPXI's Darryl Carver heads to D.C.

After two departures from WTAE, the get-up-and-go bug has hit WPXI with reporter Darryl Carver leaving to join WJLA, the ABC affiliate in Washington, D.C. Carver, whose last day at WPXI is Friday, will be a general assignment reporter in Washington.
Channel 11 news director Jennifer Rigby said she won't look to replace Carver anytime soon, saying, "I'm in good shape and not feeling an immediate need right now to do a replacement."
Also at Channel 11, Newlin Archinal, who is anchoring the station's noon news alongside Bob Bruce during the Olympics, will return to reporting weekdays after the games conclude.
