NBC will show unaired 'Freaks' episodes

Wednesday, May 24, 2000

By Rob Owen, Post-Gazette TV Editor

Fans of "Freaks and Geeks" may get a chance to see unaired episodes from the canceled NBC series.

In a teleconference with TV critics yesterday, NBC Entertainment president Garth Ancier said the network is planning a "Freaks and Geeks" marathon, airing three episodes on a yet-to-be-determined Saturday night this summer.

"We have five unaired episodes and we'll take the best three and air them," Ancier said.

And what about the remaining two?

"It is fresh programming, so if fans of the show really want to see it, I'm sure we can find a place for it," Ancier said.

This offers fans a reason to be optimistic, but don't hold your breath waiting to see all five episodes.
