And the million dollars go to ...

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

If you're a movie buff and you want to be a millionaire, ABC-TV is looking for you.

Producers of the network's top-rated "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" quiz show will air a special movie-themed edition March 24, leading into the weekend of the Academy Awards.

U.S. residents who are 18 or older have until March 1 to try for a spot on the show by calling the toll-free qualification number between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m. Eastern time and following instructions. That number is (800) 433-8321.

Calls are limited to one per person each contest day.

Callers who correctly answer the phone questions are placed in a computerized random drawing to advance to a telephone playoff game. Round two players will have to answer questions that are movie-related.

The high scorers in that round will become the 10 finalists taken to New York City to tape the episode. Round three is played with Regis Philbin.

The movie-themed edition of the "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" will be taped March 16.
