Port Authority weekend rail service to be curtailed

Friday, January 16, 2004

Light rail service between Mt. Lebanon station and both South Hills Village and Library will be suspended this weekend to permit work on Port Authority's Stage II light rail project.

Service will be suspended this evening and will resume on Monday morning. Bus shuttles will run during the shutdown from the Mt. Lebanon station: 42S South Hills Village-Mt. Lebanon for customers of 42S South Hills Village rail service; and 42L Library via Route 88 for customers of 42L Library rail service.

All outbound light rail vehicles traveling from Downtown Pittsburgh will terminate at Mt. Lebanon station, though their signs will continue to say 42S and 42L.
