Hero of the 1960 World Series for his ninth-inning home run that beat the Yankees in Game 7, 10-9.

A defensive wizard whose 1,706 career double plays is the most by far of any middle infielder in baseball history.

Won eight of the first 10 Gold Glove awards for National League second basemen.

Led the National League nine times in assists, three times in fielding percentage and eight times in double plays.

Named to the National League All-Star team 10 times.

Appeared in the movie "The Odd Couple" and is seen hitting into a triple play against the New York Mets.
