Passover is a predominantly Jewish holy day and festival that commemorates the story of the Exodus, in which the ancient Israelites were freed from slavery in Egypt. Occuring at the same time is Lent, the period leading up to Easter commemorating the death and resurrection of Jesus which Christians belive happened during the Passover season in the year 33CE.
