Pirates Ballparks and bumps

Sunday, April 01, 2001

Different address. Different attitude. Different results? The Milwaukee Brewers, who open Miller Park on Friday, and the Pirates, who officially open PNC Park a week from tomorrow, are counting on it.

Milwaukee General Manager Dean Taylor talked about the intangible effects of a new stadium on teams. "Everyone who is involved with the organization is going to realize a tremendous emotional lift from this facility," Taylor said.

A lift? The Guy went back to the record books to see if the numbers bear him out. Take heart, Pirates and Brewers fans. They do.
