Thursday, June 26, 2003

By Robert Dvorchak, Post-Gazette Sports Writer

LOOKING AHEAD

Pirates vs. Rockies, 7:05 p.m. tomorrow, PNC Park. TV: Fox Sports Net. Radio: KDKA-AM (1020) and Pirates radio network.

NOTEBOOK

Duaner Sanchez's career with the Pirates isn't over, but it is hoped he will learn a lesson after being demoted to the minors for being late to Tuesday's game. Sanchez reportedly overslept and arrived at Olympic Stadium at noon for a 1:05 game. Sanchez was sent back to Nashville . "I was just unhappy with the fact he didn't show up on time. There has to be a set of rules we have to follow, and the young man has to understand that. Hopefully, he'll learn his lesson," Manager Lloyd McClendon said.
