Trick-or-treat times, parades

It's the time of the year when costumed characters take to the streets trying to scare up a few treats. Here is a list of Washington County communities that are holding trick or treat this week; a few also are holding Halloween parades:

Amwell

6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Burgettstown

5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

California

Trick or treat was held yesterday, but a parade will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Canonsburg

6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Canton

6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Cecil

6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Charleroi

6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Chartiers

6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Claysville

Parade at 5:30 p.m., trick or treat from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Cross Creek

6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Donegal

6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

East Washington

6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Finleyville

A parade will be held at 7 p.m. tomorrow; trick or treat will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Houston

6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

McDonald

6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Independence

6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Monongahela

6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

New Eagle
