High school performances this spring

The corn will be as high as an elephant's eye. That's a line from a song in "Oklahoma," the most popular musical selected by South Hills high schools for their spring performances. Bethel Park, McKeesport and Seton LaSalle high schools will have productions of that 1940s classic.
Upper St. Clair will tutor Eliza Doolittle on the fine points of English in "My Fair Lady," and South Park High School will be a haven for orphans in "Annie."
Here is a list of this spring's high school musicals:
Baldwin High School, 4653 Clairton Blvd., "Crazy for You," 7 p.m. March 29 and 30; 1:30 and 7 p.m. March 31. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students. A special free performance for senior citizens will be at 2:30 p.m. March 25. Call 412-655-3282.

Brentwood High School, 3601 Brownsville Road, "1776," 7:30 p.m. April 26 and 27; 1:30 and 7:30 p.m. April 28. Cost is $5 for adults, $4 for senior citizens and $3 for students. Matinee tickets for April 28 cost $3. Call 412-881-4940.
Chartiers Valley High School, 50 Thoms Run Road, "The Wiz," 7:30 p.m. March 15,16 and 17. A special free performance for senior citizens will be 7:30 p.m. March 14. Cost is $7. All seats reserved and available in Room 109 weekdays from 1:50 to 2:34 p.m. Call 412-429-2241.
