"Tarzan & Jane" -- See review.

"Crossroads" -- Britney Spears, Zoe Saldana and Taryn Manning play onetime friends who reunite for a road trip to California and, of course, to learn a little something along the way. Yes, Britney sings.

"The Time Machine" -- Simon Wells, great-grandson of author H.G. Wells, directed this adaptation starring Guy Pearce as scientist and inventor Alexander Hartdegen who perfects a time machine and ends up traveling from 1899 to the year 2030 and, eventually, 802,701. It starts off fast-paced, smart and bright and degenerates into dark special-effects extravaganza.

"Dead Heat" -- Kiefer Sutherland and Anthony LaPaglia star in this story of a former Boston cop lured into a horse-racing scheme by his small-time crook brother. Also featuring Radha Mitchell.

"Kung Pow: Enter the Fist" -- Steve Oedekerk wrote and directed this martial-arts spoof.

Also: "Escaflowne" and "The Vision of Escaflowne," Japanese anime releases about a girl catapulted from Earth and into a world ruled by sword and secrecy; "Hellsing: Impure Souls," first volume of the vampire series, new to DVD; "M*A*S*H," season two on tape and DVD; "Clifford's Big Halloween" and "Go, T-Bone," starring the crimson canine; and "Best of Percy," DVD with nine stories about the engine favored by Thomas the Tank Engine fans.
