"Driven" -- Sylvester Stallone is a retired racer called back to action by a car owner (Burt Reynolds) who needs a veteran to stabilize a hotshot driver (Kip Pardue).

"Startup.com" -- This documentary about the rise and fall of an Internet company -- and the childhood friends who became business partners -- is more compelling than most fictional releases.

"The Luzhin Defence" -- Based on a novel by Vladimir Nabokov, this is set in 1929 at a lakeside resort where a shambling chess genius (John Turturro) has come for a world championship and a Russian beauty (Emily Watson) has come for relaxation.

"The Widow of Saint-Pierre" -- A man condemned to death awaits his fate -- along with a guillotine and an executioner -- on a remote French island territory off the Newfoundland coast. With Daniel Auteuil and Juliette Binoche.

"Total Recall Special Limited Edition DVD" and "Basic Instinct Special Limited Edition DVD" -- The Arnold Schwarzengger movie includes commentary from the actor and director Paul Verhoeven, documentary, Rekall's virtual vacations and other extras. "Basic Instinct," available in unrated or R-rated versions, comes with an ice-pick pen, commentaries and details about deleted scenes.
