A new online report that compiles and analyzes statistics from Pennsylvania's public schools is now available on the Standard & Poor's Web site.
"Pennsylvania Statewide Highlights" is a five-year analysis of academic, financial and other trends compiled by Standard & Poor's School Evaluation Services. Parents, educators and policymakers can find trends in state test scores, class size, school district operating expenses, and other information about every school district in Pennsylvania.
Standard & Poor's, usually known for its ratings of bonds, was hired by the state Department of Education in 2001 to collect and evaluate school data.
The state paid $10 million for S&P's evaluations for four years.
The new report can be found at www.ses.standardandpoors.com under "What's New."
