Alexa New (left) and Gina Ambrose laugh after Ms. Ambrose had stood prematurely during Chatham College's 140th commencement yesterday. Ms. Ambrose, of Shaler, had risen during the awarding of Bachelor of Arts degrees. She received a Bachelor of Science. Ms. New was a marshal for the graduation ceremony. The commencement was the first of several that will take at colleges and universities in Pittsburgh this spring.
