Barbara Boyle has been named the new sales director for the Route 8 office of Coldwell Banker.

She has been selling real estate in the North Hills area for the past 17 years. In August 2000, she was named assistant sales director of the North Hills office of Coldwell Banker.

Boyle is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh who resides in the North Hills with her husband, Kevin, and three children, Kevin, Jessica and Megan.

Four new agents recently joined Keller Williams Realty's North office.

Gary Bauer and Emily Resko are both Cranberry residents and multimillion dollar producers who were formerly with Northwood Realty.

Also joining the office are Lou Sapp, a North Hills resident formerly with Prudential Preferred Realty, and Heather Tortorea, a former agent with Howard Hanna.

Coldwell Banker Real Estate Pittsburgh has added three new sales associates to area offices.

Fran Bushfield, a resident of Harrison City, has joined the Murrysville office. Bushfield has six years of real estate experience and most recently served as relocation director for Century 21 in Virginia. She has been a multimillion-dollar producer for the past three years.

Peg West, a resident of North Huntingdon for 30 years, has joined the Monroeville office. West was employed by PNC Bank for 23 years. She serves as co-chairman for Race for the Cure in Pittsburgh.

Elizabeth Ann Bennett, a resident of Sewickley for 12 years, has joined the Sewickley office. Bennett has a bachelor's degree in English literature and a master's of education in counseling from the University of Virginia. She received certification as a school psychologist at Duquesne University. Bennett worked as a psychotherapist for seven years and has experience in design consultation and architectural restoration.

James Porro has joined Howard Hanna Financial Services as a North regional finance manager responsible for mortgage origination. He will be headquartered at the Butler sales office.

He graduated from the A.J. Palumbo School of Business at Duquesne University and has a background in the insurance and finance industry.

Coldwell Banker Real Estate Pittsburgh has named Ed Carney as director of recruiting for the company's 19 offices in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Carney began his real estate career with Coldwell Banker Pittsburgh in 1993, winning the Rookie of the Year award. He managed the company's Murrysville office for nearly years, then became manager of the Route 8 office. Carney is also an instructor for the Educational Development School of Real Estate.

He resides in Murrysville with his wife, Jan, and his three children, Sean, Lindsay and Leanne.


Howard Hanna Real Estate Services has acquired E.T. Petrosky Inc., 152 Washington Ave., Vandergrift. As a result of the merger, agents at E.T. Petrosky will join the Apollo and Allegheny Valley offices of Howard Hanna.

Elaine T. Petrosky, who has been in the real estate business for 40 years, is the broker/Realtor and owner of E.T. Petrosky Inc. She was the broker of record for W.A. McGeary Co. in Vandergrift until its closing and has owned and operated her own agency for the last seven years. She is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors, the Realtors National Marketing Institute, the Pennsylvania Small Business Association and the Greater Allegheny Kiski Area Board of Realtors.

"This is an exciting opportunity for us," Petrovsky said. "The real estate profession is changing, particularly technologically. I feel Howard Hanna has the best to offer in technology, education and real estate-related services."

The Keller Williams North Hills office recently sponsored a miniature golf hole for the North Hills Community Outreach's 3rd Annual Summer Blast. The event raised money to address the spiritual, emotional, physical and material needs of people in crisis, hardship and poverty within the community.

Homes in Murrysville, Shadyside, Moon and the Mercer County area will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday as part of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services' Twilight Open House Tour.

Twilight open houses are offered in addition to regular weekend open houses for the convenience of prospective home buyers. Refreshments will be available at each house, and various styles and price ranges of homes will be featured throughout the home tour.
