Lecture series features lawns

Saturday, February 07, 2004

Though they're still buried under a few inches of snow, lawns are the subject of the latest Backyard Gardening lectures offered by the Penn State master gardeners.

"Have the Best Lawn on the Block," a look at proper cultural care of grass by Post-Gazette gardening columnist Sandy Feather, will begin at 7 p.m. Feb. 19 at Robin Hill Park in Moon and at 7 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Churchill Borough Building, 2300 William Penn Highway. The first session has been moved from its original location, the Moon Municipal Building.

Cost is $8 in advance, $10 at the door.

To pre-register or for more information on the lecture series, call the Allegheny County Extension Office at 412-473-2540.
