 Chili 1-2-3
We wanted to throw less spicy chili into the mix for those of you who prefer milder chili. Chili 1-2-3 was sent in by Mary Ann Dillon of McCandless.
- 1 pound ground meat
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup mild salsa
- 14.5-ounce can diced tomatoes, with juices
- 15-ounce can red kidney beans, drained
- 15-ounce can chili beans, drained
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup shredded cheese (Ched-dar, Monterey Jack or combination)
In a large pot, brown the ground meat, drain. Add the remaining ingredients. Simmer for about 20 minutes.
Serve with additional cheese, chopped green onions or sour cream. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
