Walnut Clusters

  • 1/2 cup sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup soft butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 1/2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 2 cups chopped nuts

Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla, using electric mixer. Add chocolate, flour mixture and nuts. Mix thoroughly.

Drop by teaspoonfuls, one inch apart, on a greased cookie sheet. Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 12 minutes. Yield: 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
