Lemon Sauce

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
  • 3/4 cup lemon juice

Mix sugar and cornstarch in 4-cup measure. Stir in lemon peel and lemon juice. Microwave on high 2 minutes to 2 minutes 30 seconds, stirring after 1 minute, until boiling. Serve warm with gingerbread. Makes about 3/4 cup.
