Katie likes to visit her grandmother, Lynne Soltis of Shadyside, and the two like to make cookies. Her grandmother typed Katie's recipe and letter for her.

"I like to make Spider Cookies the best. I call them Spider Cookies because the noodles look like spider legs sticking out when the cookies are done," said Katie, "My grandma taught me this recipe."

Spider Cookies

1/2 cup peanut butter (Katie likes creamy)
6-ounce bag butterscotch bits
2 cups mini-marshmallows
2 cups chow mein noodles

Melt the peanut butter and butterscotch chips in a saucepan. Remove from heat.

Mix the marshmallows and chow mein noodles in a bowl. Add melted mixture to the bowl and mix well. Drop by spoonful on the waxed paper. Let dry.
