Two H.J. Heinz employees sent us this recipe. Delicious with a tangy hint of vinegar.
2 pounds ground chuck or sirloin
2 tablespoons butter
1 onion
1 cup Heinz ketchup
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons Heinz yellow mustard
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce (we used Heinz)
2 tablespoons Heinz vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste
Chop onion and brown in pan with butter. Remove from pan. Add ground meat (we used ground round) and brown, then drain excess liquid from pan. Return onion to pan and add remaining ingredients. Simmer for about 20 minutes until flavors of seasonings mingle. Serve on rolls or buns with Heinz sweet gherkin pickles.
