Cooking with Kids: Pete Garris

Thursday, May 03, 2001

Pete used this recipe in the Pillsbury Kids' Bake-Off in March. The judges loved the ease and delicious results of this recipe.

Pete Garris

"I got it out of the Moraine Elementary School cookbook," said Pete. His aunt, Sandy Rieger, came up with the original recipe that was in the cookbook.

According to Pete, he started cooking with his mom when he was about 5 years old and has been at it ever since. His tips for other cooking kids? "Always wash your hands before you cook and don't burn your cookies," he said.
