Note that there is no egg in an egg cream. "People from New York come in and think they'll stump me by asking for an Egg Cream," says Arlene Carr. "I finally found this recipe and keep it on the wall."
3/4 cup milk
3 tablespoons chocolate syrup
3/4 cup plain soda water (seltzer water)
Pour milk into a tall glass. Add chocolate syrup. Pour seltzer water into glass and stir. Serves 1.
