Apple Rings
4 apples (McIntosh and Golden Delicious work well) 1 tablespoon lemon juice 3 tablespoons water
Preheat over to 150 degrees. Peel, core and slice the apples into rings about 1/8 inch thick. Mix the lemon juice and water in a shallow dish. To prevent discoloring, dip each ring into the mixture. Pat dry with a paper towel. Place rings on a cooling rack on a baking sheet. Cook for about 4 hours, turning once midway through. When the rings have no moisture left, remove them from the oven, cool, and place in small bags for storing.
