This recipe is originally from "Calico Cookin'." It works well with steak or chicken and is used to marinate meat for meat on the grill, oven broiler or stir-fry.
4 steaks, 6 ounces each
2 teaspoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons oil
1/2 cup soy sauce, or to taste
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons onion powder
1/4 teaspoon ginger
2 tablespoons sesame seed
In a large zippered bag, place lemon juice, oil, soy sauce, brown sugar, onion powder, ginger, and sesame seeds. Mix together in bag. Place thawed steaks in bag with marinade and zip shut. Make sure all meat is covered with marinade. Place in refrigerator for 4 hours, turning bag every hour, if possible. When ready to cook, place steaks on heated grill and cook 5 to 7 minutes on each side, depending on taste and thickness of steak. Serve immediately.
