You'll love this perfect asparagus with just a hint of scorch. Get it ready in advance and pop it under the broiler right before serving.
Asparagus spears
Olive oil
Salt and pepper
Sugar
Snap off the ends of asparagus and line them up on a jelly roll pan or any pan with sides. Spray or lightly oil the spears and roll to coat. Set aside.
When ready to serve, preheat the broiler. Broil asparagus for 4 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with salt, pepper and a little sugar.
