The Penn Avenue Arts District runs from 4800-5500 Penn Avenue, in the city's East End. It is part of a larger community development strategy that intertwines neighborhoods, residential, commercial and cultural projects. The district is a project of the Bloomfield-Garfield Corporation and Friendship Development Associates Inc.
The district embraces both permanent, anchor arts entities such as the Pittsburgh Glass Center and Garfield Artworks as well as smaller entities and street events.
