Idlewild Park is a family amusement park with attractions that include Old Idlewild, Mister Rogers' Neighborhood Of Make Believe, and the water rides of Soak Zone, among others.
Idlewild Park came into existence when William Darlington, owner of the property, gave "the right and privilege to occupy his land for picnic purposes or pleasure grounds" to Judge Thomas Mellon, owner of the Ligonier Valley Railroad in 1878. The MacDOnald family bought it from the Mellons in 1951 and continue to operate it.
Park gates open daily at 10:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m. during the warm weather months.
Free, on-site parking is available.
