The Pittsburgh New Church is a Christian organization dedicated to the worship of the Lord Jesus Christ in His Divine Human as revealed in the "Writings For The New Church" by an 18th Century scientist and philospher named Emanuel Swedenborg.
Emanuel Swedenborg (1688-1772) was a Swedish scientist, philosopher, Christian mystic and theologian. He claimed he was appointed by the Lord to write a heavenly doctrine to reform Christianity.
The Pittsburgh New Church School, founded in 1885, is sponsored by the Pittsburgh New Church. It serves the families in the congregation, as well as other children whose families, though not New Church members, value the school's unique advantages.
Office hours vary and most religious services are held on Sundays at 11:00 a.m..
Free parking is available behind the school.
