Begun in the 1940s as streetcars were starting to be replaced with buses and other new forms of transit, the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum seeks to preserve and celebrate the legacy of trolleys in America, and especially in Pennsylvania.
The museum has two main components: the Trolley Display Building where historic vehicles are on view and the Restoration Shop, where visitors can see vehicles being returned to their glory.
Visitors can also enjoy riding a historic trolley on the museum's special 4-mile track.
Daily, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The museum has its own parking facilities.
